Alert Levels 3 and 4
To discourage New Zealanders from leaving their homes for non-essentials, Neighbourly does not support neighbourhood trading (buying, selling or giving away items) during alert levels 3 and 4. We request that you wait until your neighbourhood has moved to a lower alert level before trading with your community.
Please note - we may approve your post if it is clear that trading will not commence until non-essential activity is allowed again. We will use our discretion in these cases.
We encourage all Neighbourly members to refer to the Unite against Covid-19 website for guidance around what the current alert levels mean for you and your community.
Alert Level 2
Neighbourly Market can be used during Alert Level 2, however there are still a few guidelines all members should follow to ensure safe trades between neighbours:
Always follow these Government requirements at each Alert Level
Do not use Neighbourly Market if you are unwell
Keep a safe distance (at least 1 metre) from others when dropping off or picking up items - keep trading contactless
Clean and disinfect any items you are giving away or bringing into your home
Wash your hands thoroughly after touching anything that has been in contact with others, including cash
Keep a record of who you have traded with, in case contact tracing is required
