We understand our members want to chat about contentious topics (such as vaccinations and the Covid-19 response) given their highly topical nature. Neighbourly is comfortable with healthy conversation taking place between neighbours providing the conversation remains civil and does not promote behaviours that may put the community at risk.
However, regularly or repeatedly posting about a particular topic or issue on Neighbourly is a breach of the Neighbourly Guidelines and constitutes agenda pushing.
If you currently have a live post and/or have posted about this topic within the last two weeks, we ask that you refrain from bringing it up again as this can result in frustration from the community. This is to make sure everyone can have their say and Neighbourly remains a space for neighbourly advice and community-centered exchanges.
Thank you for respecting the need for other community discussions to have their moment in the spotlight - it’s important so all Neighbourly members can have great time on the platform.
Please note:
- If you have a regional Covid Discussion Group, we ask that you use these to discuss Covid and/or vaccinations instead of the noticeboard
- Continued breaches due to agenda pushing may lead to your content being moderated and/or account closure
- Misinformation is not tolerated on Neighbourly. You can find out more about this in our dedicated Help Article
- Some wildly polarising topics such as religion, politics, abortions, water fluoridisation may be better suited to a Group. If such conversations are causing disharmony, we may encourage you to set up a group for these discussions
