We want all of Aotearoa's wonderful communities to feel welcome on Neighbourly. With that in mind, we are happy for neighbours to share their opinion as long as they do not discriminate against any of our diverse members.
We consider discrimination, among other things, to be any content (especially based on gender, sex, race, age or disability):
- that makes unjustified distinctions between groups of people
- that seeks to exclude a specific group of people
- that unjustly generalises a group of people
- that suggests a group of people is inferior
Please consider your use of language when referring to cultures other than your own and make every effort to ensure you are not divisive in any way.
Failing to use neutral or respectful terms to describe a group of people is considered a breach of our Guidelines and may lead to comment removal and/or account closure. This is actioned at the Neighbourly team’s discretion.
